Installation requirements

Please review and confirm the following installation requirements. These are crucial for the proper installation and functioning of the shower system.

. Connectivity
  • Internet Connection: Password-protected WiFi (2.4 GHz / 5 GHz) or Ethernet

. Electrical supply
  • Residual Circuit Breaker: One breaker per Shower Core

  • Power Supply: One Phase, 230VAC / 50 Hz / 16A

  • Mains Supply Wire: Minimum 2.5 mm² (rated for 16 A circuit)

. Plumbing / Water
  • Incoming Water Supply Connections: Separate hot & cold

  • Incoming Cold Water Temperature: 4-25°C

  • Incoming Hot Water Temperature: 50-65°C

  • Maximum Working Pressure Tap Water: PN10

  • Incoming Water Pressure: 2-10 bar

  • Water Supply Flow: 9 liters/minute per inlet hot & cold

  • Water Hardness: 3°dH-14°dH , or 53-250mg CaCO₃/liters

  • Water Iron Content: <0.3 mg/liter

. Tiles
  • Tile Thickness in shower zone: Max 10 mm

. Placement of Core
  • Distance from drain center: Max three meters

  • Vertical positioning: Highest placement below head shower, lowest 10 cm from floor

  • Number of bends on pipe: Max three

  • Placed in a warm environment

. Solution for power, water pressure and hardness challenges
  • Power issues: For insufficient power, Orbitals provides load balancing to evenly distribute electrical loads, preventing overloads.

  • Low water pressure: A reciprocating pump is recommended to effectively boost water pressure in systems.

  • Water hardness: To counter high water hardness, using a water softener helps in reducing mineral buildup and improving system efficiency.
